The trial for Brock M. Felton, 33, of Melbourne has been scheduled to last five days, according to the Izard County Clerk's Office.
Felton was arrested May 1 and charged with nine counts of second-degree sexual assault, eight counts of sexual indecency with a child, seven counts of sexual indecency with a child under a different statute and four counts of voyeurism.
He is accused of sex-related incidents with 22 male students, which allegedly occurred from January 2007 to April 2008, according to court documents.
Felton resigned in April as the middle and high school band and choir director at the Izard County Consolidated School District, citing health reasons, according to school officials.
The victims reported to authorities that Felton asked them to expose themselves at school or encouraged the victims in sexual behavior as they watched pornography, according to court documents. Other victims said Felton touched them or asked them sexually explicit questions, according to court documents.

Judge Paul McMurdie of Maricopa County Superior Court said Friday he would have sent Paul M. Knutson to prison for up to three years if the offense had happened now, but he gave the teacher credit for living an exemplary life since the crimes happened.
Knutson, who was teaching at Rogers High School in Rogers, Ark. when he was arrested Aug. 31, was once a finalist for National Teacher of the Year.
“I made a great mistake several years ago and I am willing to accept whatever sentence is given to me,” Knutson said before sentencing in court.

A teacher at the Seventhday Adventist Academy in Gentry was arrested Thursday on suspicion of having sexual contact with a student.
Thomas Hayden McDonald, 24, was arrested for sexual assault in the second degree, a class B felony, which is punishable with a prison sentence ranging from five to 20 years.
McDonald was also a coach at the school, according to a press release from the Gentry Police Department.
According to an affidavit of probable cause in the case, Gentry police officer Rick Lane responded to a sexual-assault complaint Wednesday from the academy's vice principal.
Toakase Vunileva reported that a female student had approached a staff member about another student who had been sexually involved with a teacher, whom the student identified as McDonald, according to court documents.
The affidavit reports Vunileva and the academy's principal met with McDonald, who said some inappropriate action had taken place in his office.

An April 2009 jury trial was scheduled Monday for a former Bentonville High School teacher accused of having sex with an 18-year-old student.
Melissa Gayle Monroe, 33, of Bella Vista is charged with sexual assault in the second degree, a class B felony; and four counts of knowingly furnishing or selling alcohol to a minor, a class C misdemeanor. A class B felony is punishable with a prison sentence ranging from five to 20 years, a fine up to $ 15, 000 or both. A class C misdemeanor is punishable with up to 30 days in jail, a fine up to $ 100 or both.
Monroe is accused of having sexual intercourse with an 18-year-old student on Jan. 26 and providing him alcohol on four separate occasions. The sexual encounter allegedly occurred on the night of the student's 18 th birthday.

A DeWitt High School teacher is behind bars charged with sexual assault.
Authorities say 30-year-old Clint Daniel Bouscher was arrested Wednesday on sexual assault charges.
Bouscher is a high school English teacher with the DeWitt School District, as well as a bus driver.
He is being charged with three counts of first-degree sexual assault. His bond was set at $150,000.

Robert Michael Gatlin, 44, a fourth-grade teacher at Coleman Intermediate School in Pine Bluff, Arkansas has, according to police, been arrested on suspicion of sexually abusing five or more female students, ages 9 and 10.
Reportedly the alleged victims were students in Gatlin’s class during the Spring and Fall semesters of this year.
Police say that all of the alleged acts of sexual assault occurred while Gatlin was a teacher and while school was in session.
Reportedly, Gatlin came to the attention of school administrators due to complaints from parents of children in Gatlin’s class.
A schools system spokesperson is being quoted in the media as saying, Gatlin was suspended with pay earlier this month after he reportedly admitted touching students inappropriately in class. Gatlin is also accused of showing favoritism toward girls over boys in his class.
KARK TV is reporting that during the investigation that it was discovered that Gatlin was fired from a previous job as a teacher with the Kingsland School District for kissing 4th and 5th grade students and that Gatlin in a statement to detectives admitted that he “may” have a problem with 4th and 5th grade aged females.

A former band teacher at Izard County Consolidated School was sentenced Wednesday on child pornography.
U.S. Attorney Jane W. Duke said Stacy Lynn Tucker, who formerly lived at 103 College Drive in Melbourne and was 39 at the time of his arrest, was sentenced to 48 months incarceration with 25 years supervised release, a $100 special penalty assessment and forfeiture of computer equipment.
According to Duke, special conditions include undergoing mental health counseling and treatment, sex offender registration, monitored Internet access and no contact with minor children without the consent of a probation officer.
According to FBI Special Agent Ed Jernigan, who was the lead investigator, Tucker began chatting on or around January 2007 with an investigator from Oxford, Miss. who was posing as an online 14-year-old girl from Oxford. During that time he was contacted by Tucker who said he loved “young hot girls” and wanted to trade pictures.
In April, the investigator again chatted with Tucker, who sent the officer numerous pornographic images of adults depicted in sexually explicit situations, the affidavit states. At that time Tucker indicated he lived near Batesville.

 A former teacher has turned herself in for sexual assault.The Columbia County Sheriff Calvin Knighton says the teacher gave drugs to a male student and had sex with him, over eight months.
The Knighton says they arrested 30-year-old Allison Dean this afternoon. Dean taught in the Magnolia School district but resigned last Wednesday. Knighton says Dean faces eight counts of sexual assault, with each count punishable from six to thirty years in prison.

A former school nurse who is accused of having sex with a teenager could face more criminal charges. Jennifer Cisco, 30, went back to the Carroll County jail on Monday.
Cisco was arrested and charged in mid-November with second-degree sexual assault of a 17-year-old boy. She was back in court on Monday, prosecutors say, because of more of the same behavior.
Cisco went to jail in November, accused of providing alcohol to minors and having sex with one of them.
“In Arkansas, a 30 year old having sex with a 17 year old would not ordinarily be a crime but, because she was a school employee and he was a student at the school, it's a sexual offense,” said Carroll County prosecutor Tony Rogers.
Cisco was arrested Nov. 15 for having sex with a 17-year-old student. As a result, she lost her job as a school nurse in the Green Forest School District.

 The final day of the Monica Cluck trial started with more testimony from friends and family asking the jury to be lenient on her.
But when Cluck took to the stand to plea her case her first words were those many had been waiting for.
She opened up by telling the 17 and 15 year old boys that she was sorry for what had happened, and went on to appologize to her friends, family and the community as a whole. On the two counts of first degree sexual assault she was given 8 year terms in prison - both to be served at the same time, and on the contributing to the delinquency of a minor charge, she was given a $750 fine.

A Crossett High School substitute teacher is charged with three counts of first degree sexual assault, a felony, in connection with a sexual relationship with a student. According to a press release from CPD Criminal Investigator Shelbi Hughes, the substitute is Dana L. Meeks, 32, of 133 Stover Road, Crossett.
Hughes said that the Crossett Police Department on June 10 received several complaints of a possible sexual relationship between Meeks and one of her 17 year old students. The contacts between the two apparently occurred during the past few months, outside the school setting, Hughes said.

John Tipton, 28, a history teacher, football coach and girls’ softball coach at Bigelow High School in Bigelow, Arkansas has been arrested in an Internet sex sting in which it is alleged he solicited sex from a minor.
Tipton and two other men were caught up in an Internet sex sting conducted by the Cleburne County Sheriff’s Office and Heber Springs Police Department.
It is alleged that Tipton solicited the undercover officer posing as a minor for sex.

 A former teacher at a Springdale school has been indicted on child pornography charges.
Richard Smith, 53, taught fourth and fifth grade students at Salem Lutheran School in Springdale until he was terminated in March after police said they found several images of children -- toddlers to pre-teens-- engaged in sex acts.
A search warrant was executed on Smith’s residence and he voluntarily came to the Springdale Police Department, where he allegedly confessed to possessing various child pornography.

 The Arkansas Court of Appeals on Wednesday upheld the conviction of a former Greenwood teacher who was found guilty of having sex with a 14-year-old student.
The judges upheld a Sebastian County Circuit Court’s conviction of Deanna Bobo on two counts of first-degree sexual assault. Bobo was sentenced to two consecutive six-year prison terms, one for each of two counts of first-degree sexual assault.
A jury found that Bobo, a teacher at Raymond G. Wells Junior High School, had sex with the then-14-year-old student on two occasions in 2005. Bobo has denied having sex with the student.
The appeals court rejected Bobo’s argument that the lower court abused its discretion by admitting into evidence 19 e-mails exchanged between her and the victim and allowing the jury to hear her request during a recorded statement her request to speak with an attorney. She also argued that the court should not have allowed two witnesses to testify about physical contact between herself and the victim that allegedly occured before the sexual assault.

A shocking story from Columbia County Friday night as a woman is accused of arranging sexual encounters between two underage girls and three males.

A former Piggott Band Instructor was sentenced to nearly 18 years in prison after pleading guilty to one county of distribution of child pornography.
Tracy Meadows of Jonesboro had been arrested in January 2006 after an undercover investigator received numerous computer files with images of children involved in sexually explicit behavior.
When police searched Meadow’s computer, they found 3,700 images of child pornography, many of which showed children under the age of 12 being subjected to sadistic and/or masochistic activity.
At the time of the incident, Meadows was a band instructor at the Piggott School District and the music director for First Baptist Church in Rector, Arkansas.

A teacher at Arkansas High School in Texarkana has been arrested on charges she had sexual relations with a 17-year-old.
Brenda Fant, 31, turned herself in today at the Bi-State Jail. She was booked on a charge of first-degree sexual assault of a 17-year old male.
Authorities said there was a physical relationship between the two but nothing happened at school.
